The end of an era

I knew it was coming, and I even had a vague idea of when it was going to happen. But I was still a little bummed when this showed up in the mail on Saturday:

It seems like every other car on the road these days is a hybrid. My carpool lane stickers were a way of declaring, "I bought my car back when it was socially responsible, not merely trendy, to opt for a hybrid." Now what am I going to do to feel all self-righteous?
