(By the way, I've never read Ethan Frome and I notice what appear to be blood drops on the snow; I realize it may be that I should find this cover horrifying, not sexy. I'm still intrigued -- and a bit turned on.)

Yeah, that's not a fun romp in the snow. That's Ethan crippled after a dreadful accident. He'll be hobbled for life now.
You know how I feel about Edith Wharton... she's a TOTAL DOWNER. Don't be fooled into reading her. Belchhh!
Aww, I kinda liked The Age of Innocence. I may still check out Ethan Frome -- it's short, and "hobbled for life" could be interesting.
