If it's November, it must be National Blog Posting Month

Good morning, vast readership, and welcome to NaBloPoMo, the month in which How's Annie? remains as unfocused as ever but will appear temporarily on a regular, daily basis! I guarantee you that reading this blog will provide you with enough undigestible material to fulfill your daily roughage requirement -- I will be regular, and so will you. I'm delighted to report that bloggy pals Feral Mom of Gone Feral and Trooperdog, both listed on the blogroll over to the right, have announced their intentions to go all PoMo on readers this month -- do check out their blogs, both of which are good for your soul (although in vastly different ways). As of this morning my friend Lucy hasn't thrown her hat in the NaBloPoMo ring, but I'm hoping she'll decide to give it a try again this year.

I hope to find other new blogs to love this month, and NaBloPoMo makes it easy; just scrolling through the list of participants, it's a snap to find cool, bizarre, well-written, funny, heartbreaking and/or creative blogs. Last year I discovered Ree of Confessions of a Pioneer Woman, who has kind of become my secret idol -- the woman is raising four kids and running a busy household on a cattle ranch out in the middle of nowhere, all the while improving her already prodigious photography skills and cookin' up some of the best-sounding comfort food known to man. And she manages to blog, often at great length, every day! I think she doesn't sleep. Anyway, I know there are lots more people out there doing things just as interesting as she, and I want to find a few of them in the next couple of weeks. I love becoming a devoted reader.

To anyone visiting me for the first time, howdy!
